Originally from Toronto, Canada, Alan now lives in London, England. His broadcast credits include directing the international TV series Urban Legends for History Television, Biography Channel, and FX; and Fraud Squad TV for Investigation Discovery Canada.

His Canadian production company, Facilitator Films, specializes in high end dramatizations for educational purposes.
