LONG SYNOPSIS (111 words)

The troubles and desperation of a handful of Londoners intersect at one of the city’s few remaining iconic red phone boxes. Judy, a psychologically fragile homeless woman, has just learned her estranged daughter has gone into labour and calls the maternity ward yearning for reconciliation. Nathan, a young hipster, dials his own mobile, left behind at his girlfriend’s apartment, only to have a strange man answer. Jacob, a recent immigrant pleading with a potential employer, leaves the phone-box number, arranging a callback for the next morning. For these threadbare souls, each facing a new beginning with unpredictable outcomes, the phone box is more than a public service, it’s a lifeline.
